EBL Events is a family-run business and we take enormous pride in delivering an exclusive service with a unique personal touch, creating a memorable experience for you and your guests. We bring our trademark fun, enthusiasm, knowledge and passion to every events and function.

Sophisticated and elegant or fun and quirky, every one of our events is bespoke, created with the client’s vision in mind. Whether it’s a private chef for a special dinner or a larger-scale team for a wedding or corporate function, each and every menu is personalised, with our foundational ethos of using seasonal, ethically sourced produce at its heart.

Located next to the historic Bluebell railway station in the heart of the Sussex countryside, with direct views of the classic old steam trains, our brand-new, 4000 square foot headquarters with state-of-the-art kitchens, tasting rooms and offices provide the ideal backdrop for private parties or corporate days.

Emily's career began in a local Sussex bakery at the young age of 14, whilst also selling eggs from her chickens laid on her family farm.

Graduates from the prestigious Tante Marie school of cookery, trained in classical French cuisine.

Begins cooking in two Michelin starred kitchens.

Travels the world in search of culinary pursuits and inspiration, cooking for world famous music artists, VIP Clients and movie stars.

Emily decided to immerse herself in the French culture by living and working in restaurants and vineyards in Toulouse, Bordeaux, Paris and Burgundy.

Joins one of London's top catering and events companies whilst running her own private events and catering for clients in her spare time.

The idea behind EBL Events & catering was born. Whilst at a wedding in Bordeaux, the vision and style of catering was realised, having never experienced the level of service and exquisite culinary delights, Emily along with her brother William, decided that this had to be replicated in the UK; adding their own British heritage and love of all cuisines.

The pair create EBL Events & catering, back on British soil, in the Sussex countryside.

The Posh Pizza co. Bar Seventy9 and Bar110 roll out to work; providing a mobile service, catering for weddings, festivals and country shows.

The full catering operation is launched. The business moves into its new 4000 square foot headquarters, with state-of-the-art kitchens, tasting rooms and offices.

Emily trained in classical French cuisine at the prestigiuos Tante Marie cordon bleu school of cookery and has worked in Michelin-starred kitchens in London and overseas. She's travelled the world in search of culinary pursuits and inspiration and as a personal chef has cooked for VIP clients, developing and honing her culinary skills along the way.

While Emily's passion for food and wine goes back to her childhood when she started selling eggs on the family farm in Sussex, her love of French culture and its cuisine deepened after working in restaurants in Toulouse, Bordeaux, Paris and Burgundy, while her knowledge of wine broadened after a stint at Bordeaux's 'École du Vin' and on the family-run 'Domaine Lejeune' Pommard, one of the only remaining vineyards in the world that still operates only by traditional methods.

William

Operations

William runs the operations and logistics at EBL. Having worked in the property management and construction industries, managing contracts for top London hotels and restaurant chains, he has an exceptional eye for detail. His ability to work under pressure will ensure that each event runs smoothly, with deliveries and contractors working to an agreed schedule and price. From choosing the most suitable location for a marquee, organising transport, ordering additional flowers and making sure you have the correct power to run your entertainment, William will do his very best to make it happen.

Meet the team

Our highly skilled team of creative chefs, expert mixologists and friendly waiting staff are passionate about what they do - our shared vision is to push the boundaries, create new concepts and give you an imaginative and unforgettable event.

You can expect the unexpected with Henry, our Head Mixologist. He loves to push the boundaries with his cocktails and brings wit, charm and expertise to every drink he creates. He's a mover and a shaker and his own signature cocktail is something to behold: shaken with dry ice, blended spices, flamed with brand and served in a wooden cask.

Kat's motto is 'anything is possible' - and with her at the helm of your event, you will be in safe hands. She has extensive event management experience and splits her time between London and New York, working with international brands, event companies and private clients.

A born organiser and affectionately known as the whippet, due to her unrivalled agility and efficiency, Grace manages our front of house team. Her passion is fine wine and having trained at the prestigious Bordeaux Wine School, she will work with you to pair the perfect wine with your chosen menu.

Lucie is our award winning pâtissier & chocolatier. She specialises in bespoke pattiseries, celebration and wedding cakes. Lucie has a great eye and artistic touch that brings exceptional creations to life making them the centrepiece for your event.
